Yiddish is a language which began in Eurpope as a dialect of the German language and was used by Jews. It is still used by many Jews and still more want to learn Yiddish.
In addition to most words of German source, Yiddish has many words from Hebrew and Russian. Yiddish is most often written using Hebrew characters.
